JC in Enfield

I prefer blogging to jogging but this morning I had to do a bit of the latter to ensure that I preserved some energy for a long run tomorrow and cross country on Sunday.

As I emerged from the shadows of the houses in Cronkbourne Road I was greeted with a "Hi Murray" from John Cannell who announced that he was going away to walk in the Enfield 7 this weekend.

I am not sure how many times he has done it before but it was once when of a number of "Winter 7s" in the London area which attracted fields of several hundred. I only did it once in 1980 when I went to my niece's Christening in North Wales but travelled down by train the day before. I went slower than I hoped after eating too much breakfast.
