33 years on

Its only 33 years ago that Irene Corlett and Barbara McDermott completed the Peel to Douglas as the first women.

I have just cobbled together some statistics for the front page to show that there were double the previous highest number of female participants this year - 24.

There have been 185 finishes by women in total.

But there are still only 36 women who have finished twice or more. Here they are:
