Alternatively if you can just add to or correct my recording of his involvement in athletics. I remember racing against him at Nobles Park in my first cross country race outside of school (probably about 1973 or 1974) when he was already known as an outstanding all round sportsman. But apart from his fine record in the Parish Walk, which he finished three times, I have no record of him competing as a senior.
The tribute to his sporting life stretched to a whole page in the Isle of Man Examiner.
