If you are going to Ramsey tomorrow evening

Date:- 24 May 2012

NEWS RELEASE – Road Closure Details for TT 2012  - A Reminder

The Department of Infrastructure would like to remind drivers that from 9.15am tomorrow the A18 Snaefell Mountain Road will be closed to traffic between Barrule Park and the Creg-ny-Baa.  It will re-open from 4pm one-way to Douglas. The one-way system will remain in place until Monday 11 June when the road will again close between 9:15am and 4:00pm for its removal.

Other notable differences from last year’s arrangements include the reinstatement of the Saturday practice session on the evening of 26 May and the early closure of the course at 10:00am (9:30am for the Mountain Road) on Saturday 2 June to facilitate the Olympic Torch Parade between Quarterbridge and Braddan Bridge on the TT course.

In all cases the duration of the closure will be kept to a minimum and the road will be reopened as soon as it is safe to do so on completion of the work.  The Department apologies for any inconvenience caused during these closures.
