We had talked about going for a day trip to the Isles of Scilly this week and after an early morning run yesterday I reported that the weather was better than expected and we decided to do go for the ferry that morning.
Although it appeared calm I was feeling rough and Marie went one step further and returned her breakfast. But it was worth it to see such a small Island - the biggest has a population of just 1500 and there are only 1800 people in total.
It would be a great place to train given the lack if cars but you would have to do lots of laps if training for a marathon!
The eagle eyed among you will have spotted a small change to David's feature on the front page and I have updated the fixture list to take out the fell race (I forgot to yesterday) but other than that there will be nothing new on the website today.
There was a change yesterday on the fell runners site when Nigel Armstrong was put into second position after initially being given a time half an hour too slow.
Nothing silly about son Ben. Without him we wouldn't be here this week as he kindly looked after Marie's mum yesterday (and is back at hospital with her today) after her long awaited eye operation was scheduled for our holiday. Ben is also looking after Robbie in the house.
