For many years I had perfect eyesight but over concentration on computer screens and other desktop items in the 80s caused short-sightedness and glasses were added to my attire for driving.
I have never been very good to go for eye tests and on one occasion I put my brother's glasses on by mistake and realised that I could see better with his than my own!
More recently I have been struggling to read things close up to me, particularly print on coloured backgrounds. I must go and get my eyes tested again but reading the old editions of Athletics Weekly, which I have been referring to in all my publications, made me realise how much easier magazines were to read in nice bold black on white.
Other people manage to read magazines on coloured paper though so I can't always blame other people.
I do get the blame for my site sometimes though. There have been a couple of occasions recently when people have interpreted what I have said in a way that was not intended.
Today, however, there was is one feature on the www.manxathletics.com which is there for you to misinterpret. But there is nothing untrue.
