Bad Company

I'm on the road again today. Not training yet but down in Brighton for the first time since 1981 when I made my international debut at Withdean Stadium.

That venue is being used for football these days but they are loosing to Carlisle at the moment.

We are going to the Brighton Centre which is next door to the Grand Hotel where the IRA tried to kill Mrs Thatcher.

In about four hours time Bad Company will be taking the stage. They haven't toured in Britain for more than 30 years but they have been playing all week across the country.

They open tonight with "Can't Get Enough" which is a classic 70s hit sung by Paul Rogers who in his previous band Free was best known for "Alright Now". More recently he toured for five years with Queen and we saw them together in Manchester in 2008.

Less than 3 hours before Aerosmith's Joe Perry starts the show. The Jury's Inn at the moment.

PS I was a bit worried that we were going to be in town when the Brighton Marathon was on as Marie would have taken some convincing that it had been an accident. I was actually relieved to find it was on next week.

PPS Sod the website tonight!
